When you decide it's time for a shock collar?
My brother has a Brittany Spaniel. Constantly escaped, which were current training with him and has absolutely nothing to this problem. They have had enough of the situation and put a shock collar. My sister-in-law called me everything excited by saying that it's incredible, after only 3 times with your dog obeys without fail their re-call. She wants to use his collar on my cocker, my dog does not escape, but it's annoying in some ways … is simply being a cocker, I totally do not want to use it on my dog. I think this necklace is to be used when a dog has a behavior that puts his life in danger like running away …. Do you use the neck? and why? Talltail: Just to give you an idea, when his dog escaped had to spend hours looking and I always found it miles. The children were crying, etc. After a year of frustration build. I think most people consider it cruel electric collars or have a negative association with which I have never seen it used correctly. I used them with great success, but the trick is to use them correctly. When done well, it does not hurt the dog, in fact, never use a level to which the dog must respond. If the dog is screaming with pain, then it is too high. I would really like people who say they are cruel to themselves trying ….. they did not hurt. It is surprising and striking, but not painful. I compare it to the dog with a spray bottle to spray, because as uncomfortable but not painful. There are good and wrong way to do it. Do not put on the dog and start striking that for every little thing. Never use an electric collar, not shown by an experienced coach in the right way to use or not can do more harm than good. I think 99% of people are not qualified to use one and that's why they said negative connotation. When used the right way, are like any training tool and other priceless. If you do not want to use one, however, it is certainly their choice, but are far from being cruel when used properly. Add: Hannah, the fence system uses an underground electric collar. No different than just wearing a collar with no fence system. How cruel it is and not the other? Talltail and just what you do when you and your dog treats you look like "yeah right" and removed?
