What is the process of adopting a dog?
I know someone whose dog had a litter and they are giving away puppies to foster homes. I want to take home one of the puppies. Since the dog is taken to another house and not a shelter, what exactly is the process of adopting this dog? I am new to this is a bit confusing to me.
