What would a good family dog?
Which race would be a good family dog? What I am looking for a small or medium. Generally not attack people and children, but it would be a good steward (or alarm) for dogs and does not throw much. Suggestions? A dog on the street is a good choice? I thought about adoption one of the local shelters.
I recommend a boxer. Available are tender (but very entertaining, they are very protective, especially children, or anything perceived physical threat. Notice shall be given the bark, and try to get between the threat and the threat. No one will begin combat, but they will not turn and run. I have had boxers for 15 years, now I have three (two saves) and their nature are almost identical. Mine are about 50 # each.
